Exploring Landscape

What to expect

This is a five week Drawing and Oil/Acrylic Painting course on consecutive Tuesdays starting on October 7th Long House Studios is in the depths of the countryside and being here in the beautiful month of October is to experience the changing colours, sounds, vegetation and weather. The changing seasons have been an inspiration to generations of artists who have wrestled with the challenge of transient light and skies and the transformation of the landscape as summer draws to a close. On this course you will explore different approaches to landscape drawing and painting, investigating the effects of markmaking and scale, speed and control, and different painting and drawing media. You will draw and paint directly from the landscape (weather permitting) aswell as in the studio. The course will progress in response to the discoveries and ideas of the participants. This course is suitable for anyone who enjoys a creative challenge! All levels of experience welcome.
